My 2020 Stop Doing List

I want to take a different approach to the way I engage with the upcoming new year. In previous years I did the usual thing; I set new goals, added new items to my “do these things to be successful” list and set an ideal weight to strive towards. Although it’s been semi successful, I’m kind of over it. I’m over the updated list of new things to track and maybe accomplish that simply leave me feeling overwhelmed and disappointed if it doesn’t work out. My new approach? A list of things I want to stop doing in 2020. As far as my life goes, I’m doing pretty okay. My overall goals are well on their way to being accomplished and to be honest, I don’t need any new ones right now. What I do need to start doing, is making time and saving energy for the things in my life that matter and bring me joy. How to Have a Productive Sick Day

I’m sick. I called out of work today because my body has decided to act up. I sent the “I’m sick” text to my team and my boss, and buried myself further under my comforter and heated blanket. As thankful as I am that my sickness is pretty mild and is really just a mere inconvenience to me, sick days in the middle of my work week frustrate me. I’ll have so much make up to do tomorrow to ensure a successful weekend and….okay. Nope. Done stressing out. Now. If you’re anything like me, an entire day spent laying around in bed is actually not enjoyable to you….I actually hate that. So, when you’re limited by your energy level, and you desperately need to rest your body how does one remain relatively productive?
