How to Reset Your Sleep Schedule in 5 Steps

I don’t know about you, but my sleep schedule over the last month and a half has gone from decent to bad to “sleep where???” This isn’t because I don’t value sleep by the way. I love sleep! BUT sleep doesn’t love me right now and it’s 100% my fault.  With the talk of opening businesses back up comes the talk of employees going back to work. Some of you will be returning to work after working from home. Some of you will be hitting the job market hunting for jobs that are now looking for new hires. Either way we are going to be transitioning from out of the office to back in the office and a good night’s sleep is going to be a requirement.  My current sleep schedule is: In bed by 12:30, scroll social media “trying to fall asleep” until 2:30, try to fall asleep without social media for a half-hour, and actually fall asleep between 3-4:00. It’s trash. I need a total sleep schedule reset if I am going to …

5 Tips for Handling Mean People

It’s a well known fact. People can be mean. Like really mean. I’m not talking about the woman who rolled her eyes at you in line at the store or the thumbs down on your YouTube video…I’m talking about the intentionally-trying-to-get-under-your-skin-and-make-you-feel-less-than kind of mean. When I was a kid, I remember thinking that when I got older people would be nice. You know, because maturity. I had never seen adults be mean to one another. Yes, I had seen adults fight and be angry at one another, but I had never seen the intentional hurting of another person in my adult surroundings as a child. In my mind anger was never connected to meanness…a concept I believe adults today still find hard to grasp. You can be angry with someone without lashing out and being vindictive. Go figure. I have learned in my adulthood that there are some people who simply aren’t nice and who as a result will not treat you nicely. These people in their intentional spitefulness can get into your head and …

Social Media – How to Plan Creative Content for Instagram

Social media content planning is a process. Some people get it right away and need no outside help while others get lost on the way to inspiration constantly. I tend to be the latter. That being said, over the past few months I’ve come up with a system that works pretty well for me with Instagram. (when I decide to use it) and I figured it may be a good idea to share with some of you! Social media is a great way to connect with not only the people you interact with daily, but it’s a great way to interact with businesses, business owners and people with likeminded interests and goals. With some social media (specifically instagram) It’s hard to do that however (mainly because the algorithm won’t let people know you exist) if your social media isn’t consistent, trendy (to a point) or attractive. I can’t promise to help specifically make your instagram trendy or attractive, but what I can do is share my method with you and hope that by making it …
